Ingredients

For the rimming

  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup graham crackers, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1 tsp peach whiskey

For the cocktail

  • 2 1/4 oz peach whiskey (such as Ole Smoky)
  • 1 1/4 oz cream liqueur (RumChata preferred)
  • 1/2 oz orange liqueur
  • 1/2 oz heavy cream
  • 1 cup ice

For the garnish

  • 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Combine the light brown sugar and crushed graham cracker crumbs on a shallow plate, mixing them together evenly. This creates the signature cobbler-inspired rim that gives the drink its character. Pour the 1 tsp peach whiskey onto a separate shallow plate—this acts as an adhesive to help the crumb mixture stick to the glass rim.
  • Take your cocktail glass and dip the rim first into the peach whiskey on the plate, coating it evenly all around. Immediately dip the wet rim into the sugar and crumb mixture from Step 1, rotating the glass to ensure full, even coverage. Set the rimmed glass aside while you prepare the cocktail.
  • Pour the 2 1/4 oz peach whiskey, 1 1/4 oz cream liqueur, and 1/2 oz orange liqueur into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with the 1 cup of ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the ingredients are well-chilled. I like to use a count method—shake for a full 15-20 seconds, not just a quick 5-second shake, because this creates a silky texture from proper dilution and chilling.
  • Strain the cocktail mixture into your rimmed glass from Step 2, pouring smoothly to avoid splashing and disrupting the rim coating. Top the drink with the 1/2 oz heavy cream by pouring it slowly over the back of a bar spoon so it floats on top, creating a layered effect. Finish with a light pinch of freshly grated nutmeg and a pinch of ground cinnamon sprinkled over the cream layer for that authentic peach cobbler flavor.
